Our History
High Construction Company (HCC) was founded in 1978 as an integral part of the High® companies, which has a rich history dating back to 1931 when Sanford High established the initial business. Starting as a small, family-owned operation in Lancaster, Pennsylvania, High companies quickly earned a reputation for excellence across numerous industries.
The High Family's commitment to integrity, innovation, and meticulous attention to detail set the foundation for our operations. By the late 1970s, the growth of High companies created an opportunity to establish HCC, dedicated to providing quality construction services.
Throughout the late 20th century, HCC continued to grow, embracing advancements in construction technology and project management, allowing us to tackle increasingly complex and large-scale projects. We expanded our service offerings to include preconstruction planning, design-build services, comprehensive construction management and general contracting. Our portfolio encompasses projects spanning educational institutions, healthcare facilities, commercial offices, and industrial complexes, each reflecting our commitment to quality and client satisfaction.
